Area code 518

Area code 518 is an area code for New York. It was one of the primary area codes created in 1947. It covers the northeasternmost part of Upstate New York. 518 consist of cities such as its state capital Albany. Other cities include, Schenectady, and Troy, Plattsburgh, Saratoga Springs, and Glens Falls. It was overlaid by 838 in 2017.^[1]
